Q: How long is the online exam?

A: Our proficiency exam is multiple choice and the time required to complete it generally ranges from 30-60 minutes depending on your skill level and the type of certification you are being tested for.

Q: What is the minimum score required to pass?

A: Exams are scored on a pass/fail basis with a minimum score of 70% required to pass.

Q: Can I retake the exam if I fail?

A: Yes. Registration includes unlimited retakes within 60 days of your first test date.

Q: I am an employer for a national company, is there a way I can get a list of your recently certified students to fill some job openings?

A: Our policy is not to post these publicly, but if you send us an e-mail with a description of the position you are trying to fill, we'll pass that information along to Spanish certified individuals in your area.

Q: What if I fail the online skills exam?

A: With your registration fee, you can take the online skills exam as many times as needed within 60 days of your first test date.

Q: Why do I need a Spanish certification to get a job?

A: Although jobs aren't often completely in Spanish, employers like to hire applicants with more proven skills and certifications.

Q: Will I have to complete coursework to get my Spanish certification?

A: No. LCI grants Spanish certifications based on your existing skills demonstrated by an online exam and does not require that you take costly or time consuming courses.

Q: What regions recognize an LCI Spanish certification?

A: LCI Spanish language certifications are valid in all 50 states and 94 countries. Due to discrepancies in professional standards, we are currently unable to grant certifications to citizens of Belarus and French Polynesia.

Q: How long does it take to get my Spanish certification?
